Daniel Savala & Chi Alpha VS. The People

Daniel Savala (66) has been a traveling spiritual leader for 40+ years without official ties to any organization or church. Yet, Chi Alpha Campus Ministries have protected and promoted him to your youth and college kids for decades.

So, this is what we know about Chi Alpha and Daniel Savala.

1. Daniel Savala was convicted on 11 counts of sexually abusing minors in Alaska and pled guilty. The alleged number of underage boys Daniel abused is 15, and he is a lifetime registered sex offender in Texas. 

2. Mr. Savala is “unofficially” associated with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, a student ministry organization that has had a presence on university campuses throughout Texas since 1989. Chi Alpha Campus Ministries is a ministry of the Assemblies of God, U.S.A., based in Springfield, Missouri.

3. In his 20+ year association with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, Mr. Savala has had access to many college-age men he has allegedly groomed and sexually victimized. He meets these young men in the capacity of a spiritual mentor who has the support and confidence of those in leadership at Chi Alpha Campus Ministries. Most leadership and college students were never told of Daniel's conviction. If they did find out, the story was distorted, "a few bitter boys were rebuked by Daniel, and they grew up and wanted to hurt Daniel by accusing him of sexual abuse."

4. As a result, thousands of young vulnerable college men have been connected with Mr. Salva, a convicted, registered sex offender. Over time, they have been convinced to place their trust in Mr. Savala and open up to him about their spiritual struggles and vulnerabilities. Little do they know that this "spiritual mentor" is a convicted sex offender potentially grooming them to be his next victim.
